On June 12, 1970 Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, Dock Ellis pitched a no-hitter, high on LSD. This woodcut print pays tribute to the man and his incredible game. A 5-color woodcut print, printed on 110# card stock paper, measuring 12” x 18”. Each color is hand-carved in a block of cherry plywood and manually printed on a Vandercook press. Printed with bright day-glo inks in a second edition of 200. Comes signed and numbered and ships in a sturdy tube.

Pawpaw Woodcut Card

Pawpaw greeting card. This card features the native fruit found throughout Appalachia. We enjoy walking through the woods in September where the many groves of pawpaw trees can be found with ripe fruit for the taking.

This card was manually printed from four hand carved woodcuts on our 120 year-old treadle powered printing press. It measures 5" x 7" and is blank on the inside, comes with an envelope.

New Product Line

Sara has created a new product line at our shop. Every Artichoke Seams piece begins at the press. Products are hand-sewn in small batches from fabric printed at JustAJar Design Press using the wood blocks and letterpress materials from limited edition print runs. Once those prints are complete, the blocks are retired — and it's exactly these blocks that are used to create the unique patterns on every piece of fabric.
